How to connect Android phone to pc via Wifi hotspot?

What is a Mobile Hotspot?

A mobile access point is a wireless ad hoc access point created by a dedicated hardware device or smartphone feature that shares the phone's mobile data. Other nearby devices can use the shared access point to connect to the Internet.

The hardware devices used to create them, officially known as pocket or travel routers, are sometimes called mobile access points. They are also commonly referred to as Mi-Fis, although that name is owned by Novatel in the United States.

States and many other countries pocket routers access cellular signals and convert 3G and 4G signals to Wi-Fi and vice versa, creating mobile Wi-Fi networks that are shared by multiple users within about 10 meters of the device can be.

Mobile hotspot devices and the wireless data plans required to activate them. Another option is to use a smartphone to connect to other devices. Many smartphones allow a mobile hotspot to be set up by tethering by accessing the existing mobile data on the phone.

With the Bring Your Own Network (BYON) network, employees often create mobile hotspots at work, which can compromise network security. An employee who creates a mobile hotspot at work, for example, connects to three networks at the same time: the mobile phone provider, the hotspot, and the company network.

If the device or one of the networks is not secure, company data can be compromised.

Does Your Phone have Mobile Hotspot?

Many modern smartphones have a built-in hotspot function that you can probably configure and activate somewhere in your device's settings app. In general, many carriers and devices offer the service as long as you have at least 4G LTE service.

For a 5G network, it will likely improve your experience. A 4G or 5G connection doesn't mean you have a mobile hotspot. You'll need to check with your wireless service provider or your device settings to see if you have one.

Just know that sharing this type of network with others can make an experience that is already noticeably slower even slower.

Rename your access point and change your password from the default, hide your device so others can't see your network, and choose whether or not to use WPA2 security. Connect the access point to other devices via Bluetooth or USB tethering.

What are 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and 5GHz Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi is of two types of frequencies, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, which aim to improve both speed and coverage. The 2.4 GHz WLAN band provides better coverage for the router. However, it does this by slowing down the internet speed.

Also, you are likely to experience more interference in the 2.4 GHz WiFi band than the 5 GHz band. Speaking of which, the 5 GHz band balances its short-range with the best possible WiFi speed.

Most modern devices can connect to Wi-Fi on any band, but some older devices only recognize 2.4 GHz. This is why you can see that your device is set to the 2.4 GHz band as standard.

If you use your smartphone as a WiFi access point, it is very likely that it is close to the other devices that need internet access. So it makes more sense to force this access point to use 5 GHz instead of 2.4 GHz for better speed.

We have listed how to increase the speed of the WiFi access point on the devices of some of the major Android phone manufacturers. However, if you have another Android phone that supports 5 GHz, the steps should be pretty similar.

It is worth noting that iOS users have no option to change the Wi-Fi bands. For the best speeds, they may want to plug their phone directly into a laptop.

How to connect Android Phone to PC ?

To connect your PC to an Android phone through a wifi hotspot you need to first open your mobile wifi hotspot. If you don't know how to open wifi hotspot follow the steps that I have given below:

Step 1: Search and Go to your Settings app on your Mobile phone.

Step 2: Click and enter on Mobile Hotspot in some phones it may be named differently like Tethering Hotspot or Personal Hotspot. But don't worry and click one of them.

step 3: Now as you have entered the settings of the Mobile hotspot just simply turn it ON.

Since you have turned your mobile hotspot on, it time to get into your PC. Some steps are needed to be done in the PC also in order to connect it.

If your PC is started please go to the Desktop. And follow the following steps as mentioned below:

Step 1: Move your cursor to the bottom right corner of the Desktop Screen.

If you don't know what the cursor is then see, the cursor is the pointer that we use to select an item using the mouse device.

How to connect your Android phone to PC Via USB?

Below are some steps on how you can connect your android phone to pc via USB. Just follow the steps as given below:

Step 1: Connect your Android phone to one end of a suitable USB cable.

Step 2: Connect the other end of the USB cable to your PC.

Step 3: Now a pop-up may appear in your Android Phone's screen. This pop-up is for you to select how you would like to use the USB cable. Like you can use the USB cable for Charging your Android phone, Transfering some files from Android to PC or PC to Android, or use the USB cable for Internet sharing.

Security Of Mobile Hotspot

As you can see, a mobile hotspot connection has many advantages over a wired phone. One thing to keep in mind when using a mobile hotspot is security concerns. The security of the access points is often significantly weaker than when using the Internet at home.

For this reason, you should probably avoid transmitting personal information online through a mobile hotspot. To maximize your security, make sure you have the most up-to-date type of encryption. You can do this by enabling WPA2 as the encryption type.

You can change the default mobile hotspot name (SSID) to a random combination of letters, numbers, and symbols. Don't reveal your password unless it's shared with someone you can trust, and if you allow someone else to use your access point, be careful how much bandwidth they are using.

Remember, you will save energy with a dedicated access point device. It has a more powerful battery than your phone and an AC adapter so you can plug it in. You can get a reliable service at a flexible price or you can choose unlimited amounts of data. It is a better choice for a constant connection.

What is a USB cable?

The term USB stands for "Universal Serial Bus". USB cable assemblies are one of the most popular types of cables available and are primarily used to connect computers to peripherals such as cameras, camcorders, printers, scanners, and more. The USB revision 3.0 specification is backward compatible with version 1.1.

USB, Internet, Knowledge, Knowledge hub,

The standard USB cable enables these advantages over serial cable types:

USB cables are "hot-pluggable", that is, You can connect and disconnect cables while the computer is on without worrying about freezing your computer.
This enables "USB-powered" devices as well as charging batteries in cameras and other USB peripheral devices.
USB cables come with different types of connectors so that you can easily identify which connector is for the computer and which connector is for the peripheral device.
USB cables are a universal standard and are easy to find and pay for.

As mentioned earlier, USB cable assemblies are constructed with different types of connectors. The most common types you will see are called Type A and Type B, although you may see "mini-B" connectors with 4 or 5 pins.

Different types of connectors have an important strategic purpose: they are designed so that you cannot connect two computers together or two peripheral devices together.

Benefits Of using a USB cable

One of the main benefits to use a USB cables is that they have the ability or property to carry and transfer more information per second (12MB / second) than parallel cables (115KB / second), which means faster data transfer.

Another advantage of a USB cable is that its port is smaller than the parallel cable port. This enables computer manufacturers to efficiently produce thinner and more compact laptops or notebooks.

If you are a multitasker or need to connect two or more devices to your computer or laptop, you will surely love using a hub. This allows you to connect multiple devices to one USB port on your PC.

Only one device can be connected to the port with a parallel cable. Another nice benefit of USB cables is that they can be used to charge devices like cell phones and tablets, a capacity that parallel cables lack.

Just plug the USB charger into the correct port on the phone and the other end plugs into the USB port on the PC. The charging process begins with the correct amount of power flowing from the computer and effectively transferred to the phone.

With all the advantages and uses of USB cables, it is not surprising that these are the most popular connection options as parallel cables today.
